FindString 1.0 (95-Okt-25 23:44:03) by Bert Jahn
loading file 1mWorkbench:Disk.info22m
$ 836 -> "System"
$ 83D -> "DiskCopy"
- You can break FindString with CTRL-C.
- FindString is PURE and can made resident
- see CLI-Convention for further details
The CLI-Convention
- Template :
FindString FILE/A,MINSIZE/K/N,ALIGN/K/N,CHARS/K
FILE/A the name of the file to search in
MINSIZE/K/N specifies the minimum size of strings
eg: MINSIZE=10 (search for strings with size >= 10)
default: MINSIZE=4
ALIGN/K/N perform search only on aligned addresses
the specified value must be a power of 2 and <= 32768
eg: ALIGN=512
default: ALIGN=1
CHARS/K the chars which can occur in the string
eg: CHARS=ABCD (only strings build of A,B,C and D)
default: CHARS="ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijk
lmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890 !()-,.?"
Bugs
- the temp output buffer is 64 bytes long, so if there is a string with 67
bytes only the first 64 bytes will print (MINSIZE=4)
